Whether you opt to Trick-or-Treat or attend a community event here are Six Savvy Safety tips.
S: Swords, knives, and other costume accessories should be short, soft, and flexible.
A: Avoid trick-or-treating alone. Walk in groups or with a trusted adult.
F: Fasten reflective tape to costumes and bags to help drivers see you.
E: Enter or Excuse… Beware of entering homes and vehicles. Excuse yourself with the need to meet a friend.
T: Teach your children about Strangers as well as Known Attackers, aka: Dirty Uncle.
Y: Yummy Treats should be examined by a trusted adult for choking hazards and tampering before eating.
